Silverbacks final pre-season game tonight, and a former Silverback hopes that he has finally found his team.

The Silverbacks are at home to the West Kelowna Warriors tonight with now 24 players on the roster in Salmon Arm (15 F, 7 D & 2 G). Nick Hutchison of the Backs along with the Warriors Rylan Yaremko have been suspended one game after being involved in the second fight during a stoppage in play, with 25 seconds remaining in the first period of last night’s 3-3 tie in West Kelowna.


Last night’s game was former Silverback Michael Robert’s first game against his former team. The 19-year-old from Vernon, BC was dealt by the Silverbacks to West Kelowna in late August along with future considerations in exchange for the rights to Salmon Arm’s Shane Danyluk.  Roberts had 4 goals and 6 assists in 29 games with the Silverbacks last season, after 1 game with the Trail Smoke Eaters before starting the season and playing 24 games with the Surrey Eagles. The Warriors are Robert’s fifth BCHL team in now 4 seasons.

The Silverbacks host the the Warriors beginning at 7p.m. at the Shaw Centre. The game will be webcast via as well as  Our broadcast tonight will begin at 6:45p.m.
