Salmon Arm’s Carson Bolduc continued scoring this past weekend, depositing the 1-1 marker in the first period as the Silverbacks opened their season at home to the Merritt Centennials. He added two assists in the Backs 4-2 victory over the Smoke Eaters in Trail on Saturday night. The 18-year-old opened his BCHL regular season with a pair of goals in a pair of games at the League’s Showcase in Chilliwack. Bolduc is second in team scoring with five points, one back of Taro Hirose who has three goals and three assists in his first four games. Bolduc isn’t focusing on his own success though, instead concerned with the Silverbacks 5-2 loss to Merritt to open their season at home on Saturday night.
The Silverbacks are preparing this week for a home-and-home set, and their first meeting of the season with the Penticton Vees beginning on Friday night, October 3rd in the Peach City. The Backs will host the Vees on Saturday night, October 4th at the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm. Both games begin at 7p.m. Penticton is also 3-1 after the first two weekend’s of the season, as the Vees are coming off of a 3-1 win in Trail on Friday and a 5-0 shutout loss in Merritt on Saturday.
