Silverbacks rookie Carl El-Mir scored his first BCHL goal in his 13th game on Friday night at home versus the Trail Smoke Eaters. The 18-year-old from Montreal, Quebec had multiple chances on Friday and is relieved to finally have found the back of the net. El-Mir adds that the division leading Penticton Vees record isn’t in their heads.
