Former Silverback, Salmon Arm’s Hanna invited to Jet’s Spring Camp.


20-year-old defenseman Shane Hanna attended his first professional camp after scoring four goals and 19 assists in 40 games this past season – his first season of Division 1 hockey at Michigan Tech. University. Hanna had three goals and 19 assists in 40 regular season games in the back half of the 11-12 season after coming to his hometown team in Salmon Arm from Penticton. He went onto score 12 goals and 35 assists for 47 points in the 2012-13 campaign, along with a goal and an assist in four playoff games.

Smith attends Av’s Camp in his hometown.


Landon Smith was invited to the Colorado Avalanche development camp in May, after leading the B-C-H-L in scoring this past season with the Silverbacks 43 goals and 40 assists for 80 points, his first and only Junior ‘A’ campaign in Canada. Smith is now preparing for his first season of NCAA hockey with the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the University of Connecticut.
