Backs GM speaks re; today’s deal, and another player is on the way…

The Silverbacks dealt defenseman Andy Chugg to the Surrey Eagles today in exchange for forward Josh Blanchard.

19-year-old Chugg from Mesa, Arizona was held off of the score-sheet in his first four regular season games with the Silverbacks. 18-year-old Blanchard had one assist in five games with the Eagles to begin the season. The Kelowna product who is committed to St. Cloud State (NCAA Div. 1), scored three goals and four assists in 31 games with the Penticton Vees in the 2013-14, and 2012-13 season’s as he was part of a deal at the end of last season which moved him to Surrey.
